Mountain Song Lodge is a stunning luxury 4BR mountain home, teeming with custom touches throughout, situated on a large private property which borders federal conservancy land - and only 6 miles from downtown Blowing Rock!  Boone is less than 12 miles away; Grandfather Mountain is less than 11 miles away; Tweetsie Railroad and Appalachian Ski Mountain are both only 10 miles away!  The Blue Ridge Parkway is only 1/4-mile away by car, and a lazy walk away via the marked walking and hiking trails accessed from the rear of the property!  The village of Valle Crucis, with its riverfront community park and the Original Mast General Store, is only 14 miles away.  The town of Banner Elk is less than 20 miles away.  Sky Valley Zip Lines are less than 8 miles away, and Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zip Line Tours Resort is only 17 miles away.  Sugar Mountain Ski and Golf Resort is also only 17 miles away, and Ski Beech is 25 miles away.  Rivers and lakes are close by, including Price Lake only 2 miles away, and both the Watauga and the New River within 10 miles!  Walking and hiking trails abound - numerous within walking distance of the property!  Shopping, restaurants, horseback riding, water and snow sports, and much more are all within ten to fifteen minutes in numerous directions!  

 

Mountain Song was custom built to offer both mountain luxury and low-footprint sustainability.  The property is well-landscaped, yet left mostly natural with native Rhododendrons, trees, and other wildflower growth.  Such native materials as: Poplar bark accent siding, Rhododendron branch accent railing, and the native stacked-stone fireplace, were utilized to anchor this elegant home to its Appalachian roots!  Guests will feel both the well-executed luxury and the environmental-responsibility while they enjoy their High Country Vacation at Mountain Song Lodge!

 

A paved driveway and two-car garage welcome you, allowing "out of the weather" parking and unloading upon arrival.  The main level of Mountain Song boasts a spectacular great room upon entering through the front door, with hardwood floors and soaring vaulted ceilings.  Leather furniture, floor-to-ceiling stone wood-burning fireplace, and HD Smart TV complete the great room.  Adjacent to the great room is an open dining area with a banquet-style dining table which seats 6 to 8 guests.  The kitchen, which is adjacent to the dining area, and open to the great room, features a bar-height countertop for additional barstool dining for three more!  The kitchen also boasts leathered granite countertops, custom-crafted cabinetry, high-end stainless appliances, and a gas cooktop with such luxuries as the pot filler and custom hood fan!  The kitchen is equipped to prepare and serve meals to a full house!  Beyond the kitchen is a mud room and laundry room, accessible from the garage for alternate entry into the house, with washer and dryer, wine fridge, and a desk/work station.  Off of the kitchen is a comfy screened porch with outdoor dining.  This leads out onto the rear deck and courtyard, with a gas grill, outdoor seating and lounging furniture, a gas fire pit, and a hot tub - all of which are tucked privately between the house itself, and the natural living border between this property and the contiguous conservancy & parkway lands and trails!  Also on the main level, outside of the front entry door, is a large covered front porch with comfy rocking chairs. 

 

Also on the main level is the King master suite, with an HD Smart TV, walk-in closet, private front porch, and an impressive full ensuite master bathroom, with a huge soaking tub, custom slate tile shower, live edge vanity counter with "His and Hers" stone vessel sinks!  There is a second central full bathroom on the main level with a tub and shower, adjacent to the second main-level bedroom, featuring a Queen bed and an HD Smart TV.

 

Upstairs, at the top of the stairs, and open to the great room below, is a large central loft with a gorgeous hand-crafted desk, for working remotely, online schooling, and just catching up with the rest of the world.  On one side of the loft is a huge King bedroom with an HD Smart TV, a comfy sitting area with a Queen sleeper sofa, and a walk-in closet.  On the other side of the loft is a full bathroom with a tub and shower, as well as a comfy Queen bedroom, also with an HD Smart TV.   

 

Above the garage, accessible through the kitchen and mud/laundry room, is a huge game room and family room!  This space features vaulted ceilings, comfy furniture, an eight-foot slate pool table, a huge HD Smart TV, and all sorts of puzzles and games for guests to enjoy!  There is also an upscale infrared sauna for adult guests to enjoy (children must have an adult accompanying).

 

Although Mountain Song is currently allowing a maximum of ten guests, the owners have plans to incorporate some additional flexible sleeping options in the future... possibly to include a fourth bathroom in the room above the garage!  These projects will remain "to be determined," and once any of these are completed, we will update the listing accordingly!  However, don't be surprised if you arrive to find a few extra perks that will have been added between now and the day of your arrival!  The owners of Mountain Song strive to make this special place a five-star luxury family vacation destination where their guests can make memories, and hopefully begin a tradition of many returns!

 

Other amenities and comforts include: WiFi internet, digital cable TV programming on all 6 HD Smart TVs, Central Heat and Air Conditioning for year-round comfort, along with the aforementioned hot tub, sauna, garage, wood-burning fireplace, gas grill, gas fire feature, and more.  Dogs are allowed, one or two max per reservation, with a 50-pound per-pet weight limit.  Pet fees will apply, and pets are to be kept off of any furniture and beds, and are to be crated or kenneled any time they are left unattended.   Also, please don't forget the unique luxury of direct access to marked hiking trails from the rear border of this property!!
