Just an easy two minute walk from the beach, this tastefully furnished Barbados villa with pool and private garden is located in St James on the West Coast of Barbados. With its large covered patio backing onto local playing fields, Alamanda enjoys a continuous cooling breeze, which rolls down the hills from nearby sugar plantations. There is an excellent selection of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets located at nearby Holetown, just a short walk away.  You will also find bars, banks, a supermarket, post office, an air-conditioned shopping mall – with duty free shops as well as the Sandy Crest Medical centre (open 24 hours) – all within a few minutes walk. Not to be missed is the fabulous Limegrove Lifestyle Centre, a trendy shopping mall full of designer shops and duty free shopping opportunities as well as cafes and bars and even a cinema.  At nearby Sunset Crest you will find the Chattel Village shops – perfect for souvenirs and local crafts.

 

Alamanda has a spacious, light and airy open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area and is equipped with 27 inch flat screen TV, DVD, CD player and 2 telephones (for accepting incoming calls and making outgoing local calls – which are free). Amazon Fire TV is included offering many channels including CNN, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Cartoon Network, BBC, ESPN. High speed wireless internet service is available.

 

This privately owned villa is self-catering with a fully equipped kitchen; including a dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, oven/hob, microwave, coffee maker and a blender.

 

The bedrooms are air-conditioned. The master bedroom has a king size bed and an en suite bathroom. The two other twin-bedded rooms share a bathroom.  The twin-bedded rooms can be made into king size.

 

The living areas open out onto the large L-shaped, covered veranda complete with comfortable rattan sofa and chairs, coffee table and a gas barbecue. There are outside chairs and a table, plus matching sun loungers. The veranda overlooks the villa’s beautiful tropical gardens which are well-lit at night. There is a private pool and deck, perfect for a cooling dip.

 

All rooms are fitted with ceiling fans. There are also two powerful, portable floor standing fans.

 

There are electronic combination safes for secure storage of money, jewellery, cameras and other valuables.  A hairdryer is also supplied.

 

Getting around is easy and Holetown is just an easy walk away.  The accommodation includes ample parking space directly inside the villa gate and we are happy to provide quotes for car hire.  If you choose not to drive, the buses are frequent and inexpensive.

 

Many water sports are available from the beautiful Barbados beaches including scuba diving and snorkelling.
